Cat Sun is a graduate student in the Department of Natural at Cornell University and New York Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit. She studies black bears in New York to better understand their population size, distribution across the state, and patterns of resource use. To develop NYeBear, she is collaborating with PJ Finlay and Jonathan Gomes Selman, who are currently students at Ithaca High School. PJ and Jonathan have developed the iOS and Android apps for NYeBear.
P.J. Finlay is a rising senior at Ithaca High School in Ithaca NY. He learned Web/Android programming through a school club. During his free time he enjoys rowing on the varsity crew team, watching the news, and making his own Android apps.
Jonathan Gomes Selmanis a rising senior at Ithaca High School in Ithaca NY. He is an avid programmer and loves exploring the wilderness observing the wildlife. He has been designing iPhone applications for 2 years and is fluent in several programming languages. One of his passions is combining computer science with other fields of science to help researchers collect and analyze data.
